Refund policy

*The Comic Shack*

At The Comic Shack, we want you to be stoked about every comic, card, Funko, Hot Wheels, and collectible you unbox. If something isn't right, here's how we'll sort it out.

## Cooling-Off Period (7 Days)

In line with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you have *7 days* from the date you receive your order to cancel and return it for a full refund — no reason required. To qualify:

- The item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging (including any protective sleeves, boxes, or seals).
- Trading cards, booster packs, and sealed collectibles must remain sealed. Once opened, they are not eligible for a cooling-off return.
- You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged, defective, or incorrect.

## Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged in transit, has a manufacturing defect, or isn't what you ordered, we'll make it right. Please contact us *within 7 days of delivery* with:

- Your order number
- Clear photos of the item and the packaging it arrived in
- A short description of the issue

We'll offer you a replacement (subject to stock) or a full refund including original shipping costs. Return shipping for damaged or incorrect items is on us.

## What We Can't Refund

- Opened TCG booster packs, boxes, or sealed product (industry standard — once sealed product is opened, its collectible value and authenticity can't be verified).
- Items damaged after delivery through handling, storage, or display.
- Items returned after the 7-day window.
- Sale, clearance, or "as-is" items, unless they arrived damaged or defective.
- Pre-orders that have already been dispatched (cancellations must be requested before dispatch).

## Grading & Condition Notes

Imported comics and collectibles are graded honestly based on their condition when they leave us. Minor printing imperfections, small cover dings, or manufacturer flaws on Funkos and Hot Wheels boxes are not considered defects — these are common with imported stock and are part of collecting. Where possible, we note condition issues in the product listing.

## How to Start a Return

1. Email us at *[your email]* within 7 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return.
2. We'll confirm whether your return qualifies and send you return instructions.
3. Ship the item back (we recommend a tracked courier — we can't be responsible for returns lost in transit).
4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund within *7–10 business days* to your original payment method.

## Refund Method

All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
